Once upon a time.
Greetings. You must be the new visitor everyone has been talking about, in hushed yet excited tones. Oh, do forgive my forthright candour, introductions are in order first, of course!

I’ll be your shirtless waiter and eventual stripper for this evening.. oh, no, wait.. wrong party. Lets try that again.
Hi, my name is Brendan Borlase, Systems Administrator and blogger.. and I happen to reside at this time, in Adelaide, Australia with my wonderful partner Kath.
This here website, blog, journal and abomination .. is my little corner of this little thing I like to call ‘The Internet’. Whilst the clothes have occasionally changed and the location has certainly seen it’s fair share of upheaval, the content is still, very much a constant source of fixation. That and a desire to scratch the bottom left corner.

The blog is currently powered by Wordpress, the phenomenal performance of (mt) virtual servers and Amazon S3, a small bunch of plugins and an ever increasing array of hacks and re-purposed code.
You can also stalk follow me via the following:
- Twitter as brendanb - it’s a tweet.
- Pownce as brendanb - jump on in.
- del.icio.us as yanis - mmm, tasty.
- Tumblr as geekfu - roll your own, yo.
- Gmail as brendan - see, I do that too!
The list is ever increasing, so do stop by, from time to time if following me has become a bit of a hobby, you know, right up their with collecting toe-nail clippings, because *everyone* does that.
Now, before we go too far thinking this is a great place to graffiti, a little note on the comment policy. There isn’t one. If you’ve read anything here, anything at all, you’ll note that there is absolutely no facility for comments. Some might think I’ve just roasted the comments template, again, for the fourth time straight — but in fact, it’s actually done on purpose!
You see, I strongly believe that comments don’t really serve to actually improve content, by virtue of being a point of view, they often just get in the way of the story.
But, If you feel even remotely strongly about, well, anything, you are most welcome to make contact and let me know your thoughts.
So there you have it. An ‘about page’, of sorts. Thanks for stopping by.
