Final Freddy

I’m about done.

I have updated broadleaf for the last time1 as the time and resources required to keep the theme current are a little exhaustive. Recent changes in Wordpress table construction has meant a total re-write of the theme code handling posts.

It now uses a conditional query statement that should work under either 2.2.x or 2.3.x. The ‘recent comments’ functionality has been commented out as it no longer works — if you have a working comment plug-in feel free to add it in the appropriate spot within bottom_index.php.

It should also handle the new tags feature in 2.3 and will gracefully degrade if not in use.

I’d like to thank those who have used broadleaf and continue to want to use it — you rock.

As I don’t have a 2.3 install active anywhere at present, I would really appreciate it if folks who have used this theme, or wish to use it, could please give it a workout under 2.3 and report back any issues noted via the current contact avenues.

Any changes will be documented here and feed back into the theme. Enjoy.
