"Firefox 2.0 introduced a number of refinements to its tabbed browsing UI. Among them was the addition of close buttons on tabs." — my pet hate is accidentally closing firefox tabs via the x button when changing tabs - option 0, is the cure.

Reliquum Incipio

Or how I stopped being concerned about comments and learned to love the content.
There has been a bit of blogger activity of late, primarily surrounding John Gruber’s decision a while back to roll
comment free and whether it’s actually a darn good move.
Obviously the first pay-off is an immediate cessation of needing to care about […]

"The Broadband Reports gang has a new test application up with explicit iPhone support, and the results are both surprising and not-so-surprising.." — despite improvements, EDGE is still a lousy technology - my HSDPA handset manages over 600kbit/sec.

".. after 400 cycles, the battery should hold about 80 percent of its original capacity. But Sullivan reports that it’ll be completely dead after ‘300-400 recharges’." — the truth is somewhere in the middle, approximately 500 or so charges is a typical failure point.

"Dear internet, I’d like you to meet Ollie Kottke." — Congratulations are in order to Jason and Meg..

"A BOTCHED brazilian waxing turned into a horror story for a young Melbourne woman who almost died after the beauty treatment went wrong." — exposing the seedy underbelly of the brazilian waxing trade.. who knew?

"Japanese company Taito had the inspired idea around 1978 that killing aliens was extremely good fun." — just the thing for Friday, a very polished flash version of spacies..

That translates to real world download speeds of 1.3mbytes per second and some 240kbytes per […]

"Pownce is a way to send stuff to your friends. What kind of stuff? You can send just about anything: music, photos, messages, links, events, and more." — pownce is kinda cool.. and I have a few invites to give away - leave a comment to score one. ;)
