"More than a tale about a computer maker, this is the story about the age-old battle between mediocrity and excellence" — all the more poignant given my first taste of computing, an Amiga 500.
Like Admiral Ackbar
says,
It’s a trap!
Warning, content may offend, contains blood, comedy, violence, more blood, more violence, lots more blood and bad acting..
Blogspot and it’s splogger-friendly environ, is about to be banned, at a name and IP level1 from accessing any content, or attempting to link back (or out). That includes links, trackbacks, pings and, well everything.
I will also, no longer link to any blogpsot hosted entry, no matter how well written. This is the price paid […]
"I want my clients to know I am honored to work for them, and I am proud to take on their job. Even if we are professionals—aren’t we still just folks?" — on that note, Shawn closes out a great post on being a better designer.
After some additional thought, I feel I need to address something Ed over at
Technology Evangelist continues to debate, regarding Google Reader and Firefox integration and
how it favours Atom:
While it’s not a mandate to use Atom with Google, as Brendan mentions, if Google steers people toward Atom through Feedburner and Google Reader preferences, it […]
"The one gigantic failing of Google Reader is that you cannot receive password-protected feeds that request user authentication.. so I created a Yahoo Pipe to work around this failing." — google reader + pipes - great for anyone accessing secured feeds.
“So, here’s what I’m trying: As of about an hour ago, the main feed now contains the full content of the site, available to everyone free of charge.” — this is great news, except for paid up members whom now have a pointless membership and advertising thrown in for kicks.. nice.
What the poster says. The
official website has more stuff. Outing number 3 seems to be close to ‘Identity’ in style, fast, edgy and, well, cool.
Is that a brief parkour run Jason does about two-thirds of the way through?
"I reread the post again today, with the intent of grasping its meaning. I also visited Megite and TechMeme and read various views on Dave’s post. I still don’t understand why Feedburner is trouble." — Munir Umrani on Dave’s feedburner prophesy.
"I was subscribing to a few new blogs this evening when I noticed something strange with the way FireFox together with Google handled the subscription options." — Ed asks if Google is pushing Atom as a syndication format, buying in to Winer’s latest FUD.
"..a study that appears in The Lancet suggests that it might be time to rethink the assumption that cannabis is mostly harmless." — this is statistical rational, rather than scientific exploration.. where is the solid scientific data that links the two?
