I for one was disappointed when I logged in to my GA and it wasn’t the new version. It looks great form the screenshots.

Ditto, I was half expecting the usual “google hits everyone at once” approach.. however given the probable numbers of analytics users, it’s not *that* surprising the google analytics crew decided to stage the deployment.
