Just in case the naysayers’ amongst us still think twitter’s star has already risen and fallen, may I present the results of what happens when one posts a link to one’s own blog:
As you can see - there’s been quite the burst of traffic in the last 48 hours, much of it as a result of twitter driven traffic.
Whilst opinions may well be divided on the topic of just how useful twitter is, or if there is indeed any point to it — one simply can’t argue with the digg like effect of a twittered entry.
People want to know the point? How about being able to drop links in real time, in front of a massive (and growing) community of demographically diverse people? Or gaining real-time feedback on some idea or design?
Tell me that isn’t something useful.
