While I think Tyme is doing the right thing, this statement does not particular sit well with me:

Round 5 we accepted sites from members who participated in notes.

Communication seems to be a real problem. Either that, or I have gone completely blind.

I’m reading all sorts of things have been going on, that no-one thought was even remotely useful to tell others about — I’ve discovered more about the post-round-5 situation in Tyme’s most recent post, than in the entire time since it partly closed.

The note’s thing is .. well, what does one say?

What’s wrong with accepting people who’ve used Notes? Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

You’re a bit late to the party - at the time the constant changing of the rules as to who gets the golden nod were a bit hard to take in good faith.

Personally I have long since stopped worrying about 9rules.

Their goal now appears very much to be less of a closed invite only community and more an open community (via notes) - it’s a good move for them, but I have no real desire to be a 9rules member at this time.

I use notes from time to time, but I’ve far more interest in simply blogging and improving my craft, than to worry about what the ever changing 9rules selection process might be (not that they are taking any new members for the foreseeable future as it is).

I’ve moved on, as should everyone else. :)
