sig2feed goes beta

After the amazing demand whipped by by sig2feed, I’m pleased to announce it’s gone beta!

Code named ’snarf’ — sig2feed has had some small sections of code cleaned up, the admin panel is a little less, well, ugly and a new feature has been bedded down.

If you wish to add your custom sig2feed block on a per-post basis, then you now can. Navigate to the plugin’s option page, untick the option to add the custom block to the feed and add the following code:

<!-- sig2feed -->

.. in the location you wish and sig2feed will inject the block for you. How easy is that? So, if you like the idea of adding love to the bottom of your posts, but only certain posts, then you’re now part of the sig2feed family. :)

Features I’m working on adding at this stage are:

  • Category based signature (triggers on specific categories only)
  • Addition of a ‘mini’ sig for excerpted feeds (not an easy challenge)

If there is anything you the plugin user would like to see, please do leave a comment. If there is something you think needs fixing, please drop by the official release entry and let me know.

Enjoy.
