The one where I get annoyed.

It’s official - dreamhost.com are really starting to piss me off.

If it’s not DNS servers keeling over (3 times in one month is a bit, well, off) then it’s the SAN.. if it’s not the SAN then it’s one of the many web hosting boxes failing. In the last week alone DNS has failed twice, the massive SANs used to store data failed earlier in the week and we round out the week with a “major network issue”.

Now, I signed up with dreamhost under one of their special deals and up until recently the service has been pretty good.. however - I’m now looking down the barrel of an ~$140 bill for a years hosting shortly, for a service that has quite frankly become, well, less than ordinary.

Sure, I do not expect flawless 100% uptime - anyone who claims to provide that is a lying thieving scum-bag, but multiple outages over the last couple of weeks? Starting to wear very thin, Jim.

.. really do not want to have to go through the upheaval of moving the site, again. Pick up your game, dh.
