Newsvine - front page mention

As you may have read, I recently started posting to Newsvine. This is partly due to Newsvine being an exceptional platform for news related content and partly an experiment to trial writing more serious material that may not always be in harmony with the blog. I certainly did not expect to achieve much, perhaps a few comments on occasion and some discussion on topical news.

However, Dave Kellam from eightface emailed me early today to send the screenie to the right. My entry on Australian Industrial Reform appears to have made the front page. I really do appreciate the feedback and was not expecting the post to become as active as it has.

Newsvine is an amazing place - I really do encourage bloggers to try their hand at writing articles and “seeding the vine”. While my writing style needs a good deal of improvement, I have found the it a fascinating process and an amazing community to be a part of.

I have many invitations to give away - please do leave a comment if you wish to be a part of this fantastic community.

Newsvine is a neat place. I haven’t found the guts (or the right topic) to actually write anything yet, but it’s very interesting to poke around and see what other people have written. Congrats on the front page mention. :)

Oh.. and whatever you used to enlarge the screenshot is neat, by the way.
