Mossberg on Intel Macs:
“Last week, in a surprise move, Apple gave the iMac a brain transplant. It chose the iMac as the first Macintosh model to be converted to work on the same Intel processors used by makers of Windows PCs, rather than the PowerPC processors from IBM that have powered Macs for many years.” — The Mossberg Solution.
It’s an interesting review — although I am a little amused that an apparent self professed insider missed last years presentation in which Jobs dropped the ‘Intel inside’ bombshell (that, granted, most people had already figured out prior to Steve walking out on stage).. “surprise move” indeed.
I swear pagination in WP 2.0 is fucked. I’m attempting to display 2 posts per page, with pagination — i.e. page 2 displays the previous 2 posts, the next page 2 more older posts and so on.. Are query_posts & pagination mutually exclusive now?
“.. an article in The Observer claims that spam has passed its peak and is now declining”. — slashdot. I must have missed the memo.
A few more tweaks and code have been poured into the design - the live re-design is now at 90% and counting. :)
“The Intel Macs have arrived, and we’ve all begun what is likely to be a year of new product roll-outs the likes of which Mac fans haven’t seen since… well, maybe since ever”. — macworld
Having played with OS X 10.4.3 on an x64 processor - I can only imagine just how fast the dual core ‘yonah’ intel powered mac’s will be. Shame about the name though.. ‘MacBook Pro’ — wtf?
.. you know that thing where you install another operating system just to “have a play” and then it breaks, so you re-install it ’cause it was just starting to get interesting and although a sharp voice in the back of your mind is screaming “walk away!” you press on, ’cause it’s so fucking exciting — right up until the heart stopping moments before it then blows away your entire hard-drive and you have no backup of your current live data and you experience the kind of pain a myocardial infarction must feel like?
Yep.. that thing.
No, you’re not ’seeing things’ - is has (finally) been updated to wordpress 2.0, along with a spanking new black and grey design based on the very suave hemingway
. Still have some ground to cover, however the core functionality is built (more or less). You’ll note the use of collapsible elements and live comment updates to improve general use.

After clearing through the usual glut of spam that actually makes it past my mail servers spammassassin install, I have started to notice a worrying trend that all spam merchants should be aware of.
Yes. It’s now beleived that sending spam causes brain cancer.
OSX 10.4.3 (Intel build) meets an Athlon64 3ghz. Runs very nicely (surprisingly stable), although without some of the advanced 3D hardware accelerated graphics. Time to have a gander at some of the available OSX apps available.
So.. got cravings for a half-decent torrent client, you hate bloat, that early morning after a big drinking session dry mouth thing and have a need for speed? Fear not — the universe provides. ?Torrent.
