Google pimp’s firefox

Firefox has finally reached the milestone of 1.5.. Which is a very cool thing.

It’s a long way from it’s humble and somewhat initially awkward origins - not unlike a teenager who’s finally managed to work out how to ‘make out’ with the cute blonde down the road without looking like a tool in the process.

As you do when you’re giving your nice shiny new browser a spin around the block - I decided to dust off the ol’ adsense login (no doubt to bask in the glow of minuscule profits)..

It was at this point I noticed real, honest to god referral programs1 for it’s Adsense product. Of course, there is the obligatory shameless self promotion of adsense, I mean, how could google resist, such as the always popular white button2:

The referral that caught my eye today, however, happens to be for a product I actually like, namely Firefox!

So - I can shamelessly plug my browser of choice (check out the shop window) without feeling like I am somehow doing something really dirty - like advertising breasts implants, penis enlargements or Viagra. So, if you were pondering adsense, or removed it feeling a little well, let down by the results, the above might actually make it worth dusting off the account and giving it another spin3.

You too can bask in the glow of equally minuscule profits! :)

  1. .. and not the fake nearly-impossible-to-make-a-quid kind either. While I’m no google lover, it was a pleasant supprise. ()
  2. So if you happen to be thinking about trying out adsense, well, it wouldn’t hurt to help a fellow blogger by clicking the above adsense link, now, would it? :) ()
  3. There are a bunch of button shapes and sizes (for the discerning viewer) from the hand-me-a-microscope-where-the-hell-is-it size, right through to buttons that could do with a workout to shed a few too many pixels. ()
