For those part of the Google “Adsense” program, you can now apply section targeting to help improve advertising relevance - a very cool and sorely needed feature [implemented here, pending next Googlebot scan].

That all seems a bit complicated to me. Hopefully Im not breaking Google’s TOC by stating that Ive made enough over the last few months to cover my hosting, so I will. hence Ive removed the ads from my homepage as my only goal from Google’s adsense was to cover hosting, any extra is a bonus.
