justify?

Testing justified text - still unsure if it flows better than non-justified left aligned. Thoughts?

    Not bad. No complaints. :)

I personally like the justified; it just looks neater to me. Gives the page a blockier sort of look, though, which you may not really want.

  3. brendan

Hence why I’m still not quite sure. :)

    It does look neater though.

Hmm, does look neater but I just dont feel that a screen can carry off justified as well as print does, or indeed hand kerned/tracked/whatever justified text.

    Certainly not offensive tho.

Agreed. Justified is okay, I tend to like how it looks. Boxy and clean. That said, I do think it slides down the usability scale just a bit, it’s not as easy to read/scan. The variance in lengths from line to line help readers stay on the right track, er, line.

.. pretty much what I have been thinking - it looks better, however the payoff is that readability suffers a little.

I’ll leave it as is for now, but may look at removing justification from some elements..
