So far so good.
I must confess that the move to dreamhost has been quite the excellent adventure [insert gratuitous guitar noise, here].
During the initial sign-up a couple things did go wrong, however a short delay and one apology later (most impressed), everything took off at an amazingly smooth yet rapid amount of knots.
Quite frankly they blow the socks off the previous host for support and general performance “feel”.
Both the blog and podcast are sitting on the new hosting and domain - it all “just works” so I can get down to the more pleasant side of coding and recording my thoughts for the ‘ramblings podcast - leaving the ‘nuts and bolts’ of keeping crap running - to a crew who seem to have that covered very nicely.
Onward - aye.

I’ve had a greaty experience with DH so far. Somewhat amazingly, I got everything moved without any major problems at all. Like you, I’m finding it to be a huge jump from what I had previously. The sheer amount of support info available kind of blew me away - my previous host had four knowledge base articles. Pretty much every aspect that I’ve looked into has been so much better that I find myself wondering why I stuck with my old host for as long as I did.

It might be worth noting that your feed doesnt work without the www. for me.
“Safari can?t open the page.
Safari can?t open the page ?feed://incoherently.net/feed/atom/?. The error was: ?unknown error? (NSURLErrorDomain:-1) Please choose Report Bug to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.”

Welcome to the club, I’ve been with them for about five years and can say they’ve been amazing. They’ve also done a good job keeping things stable considering the massive influx of users they’ve had over the last six months.

matthew,
I don’t have any problems accessing the Atom feed via explorer or firefox - the URI seems ok. Have run the URI via feedvalidator and although there are a couple of glitches with certain html summary entries - it’s a valid feed.
The domain is set to operate with or without the “www” however I’ll have a closer look. And yes, Master Phu is a legend.. :)

that IS very odd, seems only Safari is rejecting it. And Safaris happy witthout the www. for normal browsing, its just the feeds it doesnt like :-/
