technoratii

Have I mentioned recently how much it pisses me off that Technorati only indexs my posts on category, seemingly ignoring the correctly formatted rel=”tag” links? Technorati scrapes the website regularly, so I do know it’s visiting, so what’s the beef?!

Seems to work with mine, though it did take a few days for it to kick in, the posts now appear on technorati seemingly within minutes.

thats like what it does with me, but mainly it doesnt list any sites linking to mine, and those id does tend to be archive pages three years ag on peoples blogs. now this would be fine, except that im ona few different peoples blog lists, o well. Hopefully it will get fixed.

It’s been working in the past, like a charm, however over the last 2 weeks or so, nada. Oh, it indexes on ‘category’ fine, just not the tags that Technorati is supposed to index as well..

The weird thing is, the TechnoratiBot is actually scanning content, as it crops up in the logs shortly after a post goes live. I am pinging Technorati as well.. Something hinky, but yes, it will no doubt get sorted out in due course..

    Bingo, located issue.

“Feedburner, you are the weakest link, goodbye.”

As soon as I removed the feedburner RSS diversion (via .htaccess rewrite rules), the latest post’s tags arrived at Technorati within 60 seconds of the ping being sent.
