It’s happened.
Kath’s father passed away this evening - peacefully at home, surrounded by his family.
As I have mentioned before, his fight with cancer was at first strong, the chemo was working and all was just going to be okay.. As time progressed however it had become apparent that the cancer would eventually claim his life, but no one expected it to be this soon.
I fly out to New Zealand on Sunday to support Kath, pay my respects to the family and attend the funeral.
Life is too damn fucking short for my liking, too damn short by far…
His humour, love of life and family and his memories will live on. He was a good man and I respected him a great deal. He will be missed, a great deal.
