So, recently I’ve noticed a trend in my web statistics that has prompted me to update folk on a few things.
Firstly, an update on the RSS feeds for this site & the podcast feed:
- Main RSS feed:
http://centripetalforces.com/feed/
- Atom feed:
http://centripetalforces.com/feed/atom/
- Podcast feed:
http://centripetalforces.com/podcast/feed/
The comments feeds are dynamic and listed underneath each post as part […]
Thanks to an
observant ‘forces reader I’ve fixed the RSS feed for this site - sure enough even being at the bleeding SVN edge still isn’t enough to miss the occasional fuck up. :)
Sometimes Microsoft products are easy to navigate, other times like this, they just plain don’t make sense.
Firefox 1.0.4 is out. Release notes can be
found here.
Download, install, profit.
I see
matt has posted a
small comment surrounding a couple of recent FireFox
vulnerabilities. Apparently matt seems supprised folk can be pissed that IE has flaws, yet remain relatively quiet regarding Firefox flaws. Microsoft has a massive budget, plugging holes should be a non-issue, yet it can take months for a fix. FireFox has […]
A recent check of my web hosting statistics shows quite an interesting ‘percentage’ range when it comes to preferred browser amongst the ‘forces readers.
- Firefox 57.7 %
- MS Internet Explorer 7.4 %
- Safari 4.5 %
- Mozilla 2.3 %
- Konqueror 1.2 %
- Opera 1 %
Obviously there are a few percentiles […]
Live archives are now implemented, as mentioned
here,
here and of course by
the author,
here.
The latest addition to the home theatre setup is this spiffy new PVR.
The Topfield TF5000PVRt sports twin standard definition digital tuners and a suitably large 120gb HDD. One can record two shows and watch TV at the same time, pause live television and generally simplify viewing habits.
I’m particularly impressed with the recorded image quality - […]
Currently trialling cached content with
wp-cache to improve response times. I have noticed reponses have increased as I navigate about and thus provides a ’snappier’ feel. The plugin has several options to exclude/include content and appears well thought out - so, take that to the bank and cash it, google. :)
Right now there is quite some
activity on various blogs
about this interesting idea, a
web accelerator, from google, not to mention unpleasant
side effects.
There are two statements in the Privacy Policy which to my mind do ring alarm bells, and that you should be made well aware of:
“It is possible that some personally identifiable […]
Got Thunderbird? Wish to hell you could import/export rss feeds via opml? So did I - then I
found this patch. Download. Overwrite original. Profit. :-)
